RAJA AMPAT TO THE BANDA SEA

Cruise with KLM Gaya Baru Indah from Sorong to Ambon
Date: 4th-15th October 2023, 12days/11nights, seats available
Price per person: 3,340 USD
Mandatory extras: Fuel surcharge 240$, marine park fee 100$

On this cruise we combine 2 of the best dive destinations of Indonesia: Southern Raja Ampat and the Banda Sea. It starts with  the best dives of southern Raja Ampat, in the fantastic coral gardens of extreme biodiversity near Misool Island.

We continue our cruise south to the uninhabitated islands of Pisang and Koon where we enjoy diving and stroll along the white sand beaches.

In October and November schools of Hammerhead Sharks and other big fish gather around the Ring of Fire in the Banda Sea. We will try our luck and look for them around the Banda Islands. We visit the town on the main Island of Banda Neira where many remains of its rich and at times tragic history can be found. The Banda islands are the the original spice islands and the only place on earth were nutmeg trees grew. That made the islands a major target of the European colonial powers from the 16th century on.

We will stop next on Nusa Laut Island for some more awesome diving before we reach Ambon, our final destination.
