If the requested seats are available, we will confirm this by email to you and send you the following: A booking form, a medical form and a waiver. Please fill out one separate booking form for each diver and send it back to us by email. Read the medical form and the waiver. You will be asked to sign these when you check in on board. Once we have received your booking form, we will send you an invoice. If your booking is made more than 30 days before the start of your cruise, we will ask for payment of a 50% deposit first, with the final payment due 30 days prior to departure. These payment conditions will be indicated in our invoice to you. Please pay the amount indicated to our Indonesian bank account in U.S. Dollars. Make sure that all transfer fees are covered by you. Once we have received payment we will confirm your seat on the booked cruise.
-
Cancellation Policy and Force Majeure: If you cancel 30 days or more prior to the start of the cruise, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total cost of the cruise. This equals the loss of the 50% deposit paid. If you cancel 29 days or less prior to the start of the cruise, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total cost of your cruise is charged. This applies to all cancellations and no-shows by guests regardless of the reason including force majeure. Travel insurance is strongly recommended for such cases. However we are offering vouchers to all guests who are unable to join a booked cruise because of reasons related to the corona pandemic. In this case guests may rebook their cruise at a later date, space on board and minimum number of guests for the new cruise provided. In the event that BIG BLUE INDONESIA cancels a cruise because of force majeure, we will do our best to inform the involved party as soon as possible and allow rebooking at a later date, space on board and minimum number of guests for the new cruise provided. We will not give any refund. Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Force majeure includes but is not limited to natural disaster, act of war (declared or not) or terrorism, riot, strike, government action, epidemic or pandemic, emergency state, mechanical breakdown or other events beyond the reasonable control of BIG BLUE INDONESIA.

While BIG BLUE INDONESIA will make every effort to follow published itineraries, we cannot always guarantee diving at specific sites. In adverse weather conditions the captain and dive crew will have the final decision about the dive sites to visit to ensure that the safety of our guests, the crew and the ship is not compromised in any way.
-
Diving for Qualified Divers: BIG BLUE INDONESIA`s dive guides will provide a detailed dive briefing prior to entering the water in buddy teams. During the dive the dive guide will stay with the group to navigate the site and show interesting marine life to you. The dive guide will not provide any training during the dive and you and your buddy dive at your own risk. As qualified divers you are responsible for your own and your buddy`s safety during the dive. You plan your dive and dive your plan by using a personal dive computer. You must begin, execute and end your dive with your dive buddy. The maximum depth on all dives is 30m/100ft.
-
Safety Equipment: All divers are required to use a dive computer and Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) and carry a flashlight on night dives. Rentals are available.
-
All divers are required to have dive insurance coverage while on board our ship. This insurance must cover the cost of evacuation by air as well as medical treatment and all other expenses caused by a dive accident. Proof of insurance must be shown when checking in on board. We recommend travel insurance to our guests to refund you in case of cancellation, missed flights and missing the departure of your cruising ship. BIG BLUE INDONESIA will not provide refunds in such cases.
-
Breathing Gas: We use Nitrox 32 on all dives. This is provided to our guests free of any extra charge. In case of a mechanical failure of the onboard Nitrox Generator, we reserve the right to provide air as a breathing gas on the dives. No refund will be paid in such cases.
-
Certification, Qualification and Age: We require all divers who join our cruises to have Advanced Open Water certification, a minimum of 30 dives logged and diving practice within the last 12 months of the start of the cruise. Most scuba training agencies recommend a scuba review or refresher dive to divers who have not practiced the sport within the last 12 months. The review should in this case be done before divers arrive on board. Doing this shows respect for the environment, your fellow divers and your dive guides. Divers should be comfortable to dive to a depth of 30m/100ft and to dive in locations where currents are present. The minimum age to participate in diving activities on our cruises is 16. Certification cards (Advanced Diver or higher and Nitrox Diver) or an electronic equivalent must be presented by each diver on board at check in time. Failure to do so will result in cancellation and loss of money paid to us. For those who are not Nitrox certified, the NAUI Nitrox Diver course is offered on board but not included in the dive package. Please see our website for rates. No other courses are offered on board.
-
Alcohol on board: We have a simple rule on board. Once you have had a drink of alcohol, your diving is over for that day. Please be aware of the risks associated with the consumption of alcohol or a hangover. Alcohol impairs your judgement and, when scuba diving, increases the risk of decompression sickness and compromises safety. Drink responsibly after the last dive of the day. Our staff and diving crew reserve the right to refuse permission to allow a guest to enter the water, if they believe a person to be under the influence of alcohol. In such situations, the person will be asked to sit out the dive.
-
Marine life and Conservation: We ask all divers to respect the rules established in order to dive in the Marine Protected Areas of Raja Ampat, Triton Bay and Cenderawasih Bay. Divers must not use gloves or carry knives. No hunting and collecting, no touching of animals and coral, stream line your diving gear to avoid contact with coral and the bottom of the sea. Good buoyancy control and trim is essential.
-
Anti-social or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated and any individual who causes a disturbance to any other guests or members of crew may be removed from the liveaboard without refund.
-
Medical Statement: All divers are required to sign a self-declaration medical form when checking in on board. A sample of this form will be sent to you when you make a booking. Please read it thoroughly. If you have or think you have any of the medical conditions listed, you will need clearance from a doctor valid within 12 months of the start of your cruise and bring this in writing to the ship. Where a doctor`s clearance is needed, we ask you to arrange this before arrival on board our ship to avoid cancellation and loss of money paid to us. Please keep in mind that neither local doctors nor the dive crew are qualified to decide whether an individual is fit to dive.
-
Liability release: A sample of a standard waiver will be sent to you together with the booking form. Please read it. You are required to sign this waiver when you check in on board prior to taking part in diving activities.
